1943 Mint Set

I have just now taken over the #1 position in the 1943 from my most-worthy competitor Chancey MS60+.

I was able to do so by upgrading my 1943-D Steelie from the grade of NGC MS67+ CAC to a full NGC MS68

My1943-D and 1943-S quarters have been upgraded from NGC MS67 to  NGC MS67 CAC and NGC MS67* CAC respectively.

You're quite welcome, sir.

I have bids out on a 1943 Walker in NGC MS67 CAC and a 1943-S Walker in NGC MS66+ CAC.

Kept my fingers crossed on those two; ended up losing both bids...

As time and finances permit, I'm planning to upgrade the 1943 and 1943-S steelies to NGC MS68..

If I can find some that I like that would be nice will have to see what I can find out in the wild this year, may have to settle for a few + upgrades.  ;)

The 1943-S NGC MS67* CAC quarter that I purchased arrived in the mail earlier today.

The obverse looks to me like it was struck with a proof die; the surfaces are fully-reflective; not smooth-satiny like a fresh business strike.

My efforts to maintain and improve the standing of my 1943 mint set have taken another step forward, as I have upgraded my 1943-S steelie from the grade of NGC MS67+ CAC to NGC MS68.

The lead of my 1943 mint set has increased yet again, as I have upgraded my 1943 Mercury dime from NGC MS67+ FB to NGC MS67+ FB CAC, thus netting me an additional 937 registry points.
