  1. I haven't been able to see the forum for about a month. It said I was signed in, but when I went to the forums, it told me to sign in. and I couldn't. finally -- just a bit ago, I signed out. Then signed in again-- It worked
  2. Just an FYI: 1) it is latter not ladder- you climb on the second one. 2) and latter refers to the second one- paying the fine. 3) to refer to the first one: use: the former. Ain't 'cha glad that I'm back?

  4. FYI: I have been detecting for years. When you are "dirt fishing" I have found that it is best to keep a small bottle of water [eg: a medium pill bottle]. Any silver & especially copper coins should immediately go into the water. This will help with the removal of the dirt later and will preserve the finish much better.
  5. Definitions: Coin hoarder: Does not have or read coin books. Numismatist: Has many books & Uses them & reads them
  6. Agreed, I always say: Read, read and then re-read what you've read. People ask me how I get some of my cherry picks. I tell them to buy a book, then read it
