Thanks for posting my 1898 IHC, Bobby. Thanks also to Tom,
Irvin, Harvey and SkyMan for the "Kudos".
I really liked the look of that coin...and wished it could have
been a point higher or have the RD initials instead of RB...
but, it is the nicest example I have seen offered in a few years.
{ ...also, don't know if I really wanted to pay MS 65 RD prices...}
---------------------------------------
I think I have found a new series to collect...that J339 is outrageous !!!
I'll have to browse thru my newest Judd Book and see what the other
Pattern Liberty Seated Halves look like.
I guess its time to move off of the Barber Halves...but: they're so addicting !!
I only have a couple of Seated Halves...maybe I'll pick up a few Type coins.
Anyone know of a nice AU 55-58 example of the 1839 No Drapery ?
NGC-PCGS-ICG preferred. I normally would have added ANACS...but has anyone,
aside from myself, noticed a weakening in their grading ? Alot of AU 58's are no
better than anyone else AU 53's. I think it started almost immediately after
they converted to their new holders last year.
[ I actually like 90% of the design of ANACS's new holder ;
ie : the top beveled top edge showing the coin information.
However, the Certification Number buried on the Reverse
side of the holder is really lame. ]

The other day I noticed a choice MS 1898 Indian Head Cent on Ebay. The image was so small, I couldn't even read the date. The coin appeared to be a solid red coin, but PCGS had graded it RB.
As 1898 is a date near and dear to me - [ it was my Grandmother's birthyear ] - I put in a
BIN this afternoon. I won't get it for a week or so, but based on the larger images the seller provided, I just had to pull the trigger.
The attachment above is the best I can manage [ yes, still. Sorry ].
Oh Yeah...the grade:
??
??
No cheating now...no looking at my set...

Excellent 1837 Half Dollar, Boiler78 !!!
I've always thought the 1836 thru 1838 Bust Halves were the nicest
looking of the entire run. They are a sub-type in my opinion.
I'd also be very proud to have that coin in my collection.

Harvey,
Those are some very rare open wreath gold dollars you've got.
Although I couldn't see any ghost image of a D mm, its still
a nice coin...for that matter all of these gold dollars are very nice !!

Thanks RRANTIQUE for posting the images.
If you check out the CoinForum.ORG's web site,
you'll see I've become very prolific in posting images.
Their soft ware is a breeze in posting images.
Regardless of how often I try and post images here,
- regardless of all the well intentioned help rendered -
I'm still having problems.
Maybe the powers that be here at NGC could check
out the posting procedure at CoinForum.ORG, and
adapt it to this Forum as well.
Should that happen, you'll all be sick and tired of my
continuous postings. I'm having a ball over there posting
my Barber Halves.
Its just too bad that noone over there collects them...
and if they do, they have not made their presence known.
The Megathread at PCGS is at approximately 670 posts
and they have some fantastic coins imaged. I seem to have
gotten carried away posting there and only a handful of others
post occasionally. [ BTW, I no longer have any problems
posting images over at PCGS, once I got the hang of it...
but its still too convoluted to suit me, as it is here. ]
Okay... I've ranted long enough. Thanks again for posting
my images - thanks to all for helping me over these past few years !!

Thought someone would follow up my quarter with a half dollar of 1832.
Love that Classic Head Cent...its a beauty.

Thanks, Rey & Chad !!

Great coins, everyone, and a hearty welcome to Quickwing !!

Thank you kindly...
I don't know what it is but I can only post images 50% of the time...sometimes its as smooth as silk then others, its try and try again.
There's another web site called USCoinForum.ORG that allows images and they are the easiest things in the world to post. I think both NGC & PCGS could learn alot - and do us all a favor - to pick up that soft ware.
Its very frustrating - to say the least.

Just picked this up for my half dollar collection,
I hope to have it in hand by next weekend:
Well, its stands to reason, I can only get images posted half the time - IF I'm lucky.
Four tries, and I'm thru.
Link onto the above attachment - its the last variety I needed for my primary Barber Half Dollar collection.

Cleaned or not, I love that 1877-CC half dollar.

Yup, I can see that beauty in a 66 holder.

Newest addition to my third tier set of Barber Halves.
Also, one of the hardest to locate: 1893-S - PCGS - XF 40.
