Great looking Vermont Commem Lee! Very cool medal as well.

Thanks Jason. I had been looking for the "right" 66 VDB for a while and the subtle color is one of the reasons I bought this one.

Beautiful Morgans Bill and David3142! Unfortunately, I have no new ones to share at the moment or else I'd join in the fun!

That's got some different colors than normally seen on a Peace Dollar.
Got this for less than the grading cost's. I think could have some value in the years to come.
I picked up the very same set about a month ago, in the same holder, from the same seller.

I just purchased a 2015 first day of issue gold eagle set in ms70. I paid $3747, good buy or send it back?
you might want to start a new thread asking this question. You'll get more answers.

Did that 1878-S come from Heritage? I think I remember that one. Looks like a 64PL from the pictures.
Yes it did. I thought the same about it being a 64. I'm going to keep it as is.

Love that Seated Half!

Brandon, I also love the 1898 French Franc. Classic design.
I just added this to my Grandmother's Birth Year set ... It matches
the Dime very well.... ( the larger images are too big, I need to go to
Photobucket to add them here. )
Sweet. Love that luster/color combo!

I know this is a darkside coin (sorry), but I thought many of you US collectors may appreciate this design. This matte proof France 1 Franc coin depicts the famous "Sower" design of Louis-Oscar Roty. That name may be foreign (literally) to many of you, but you would likely recognize one of his students' names in Victor David Brenner (of Lincoln Cent design fame). You may also notice the similarities of this coin to the later USA Walking Liberty Half Dollar...and those similarities are thought to be less than coincidence (see Roger Burdette's Renaissance of American Coinage, 1916-1921, page 36 for more information).
I never thought I'd find a nice proof example of this design, but I'm giddy to add this one to my collection.
Cheers, Brandon
Very nice! I like the design and find it more aesthetic than much of our (i.e. U.S.) 20th century coinage.
+1 That's a beauty Brandon.
