Chris,
I wonder what an entire set of Lincoln wood grains would be like? I might one day just try to build one.
Very tough I suspect, mabey because I have not tried to find any but I dont recall seeing very many after the late 20's dates.

Nice coin. I also like you photo work. Wish I had the patience for photography.
Totally agree, thats why I send my coins to Mark Goodman. I dont have the camera or the skills to take good photos, but I do like tinkering with the visual format once I have a decent pic to work with.
Beautifull coins Wheat and Robert. Your 23-s is under graded Wheat, in fact my pcgs example is very marginal as a 64 imo. Here is my 11

Wow! that is the first one that ive seen in that condition.
what a nice coin
Thanks, as you can see from my coin and the one Wheat posted this date is one of the easier dates to find in high grade. Its actually one of the dates that puzzles me, NGC has graded over 900 in MS67RD but not one + or 68 has been graded yet. You would think that at least one of those 67's would be good enough for at least a +.
Pretty toner there Robert.
And another to keep the thread going. An older green label PCI coin, more RB than RD.
And my PCGS example also.

Nice!!
Thanks another one just finished up in this format.

Thanks for the suggestions and complements everyone, I had to agree that after looking at it again some changes needed to be made. I experimented with putting the CAC at the bottom but in the end I like how having it at the top seems to balance the picture. So after tweaking the font/CAC logo and making the coin pics slightly larger this is what I think will be the final product.

SoI had some free time and was playing around with some backgrounds and sizes, what do you all think. Too big too small like the background dont, etc.

Time for more copper sharing Sorry not the best pics, I need to send this one and afew others off to Mark for proper pics. NGC MS67RD

Time for some copper again Last time I checked this was still a pop 1/0.

Just received this coin today from Jim(copper toning). Thanks again Jim!
Great looking Lincoln!! So how is it that a guy thats not "into" red cents have this to sell, riddle me that.

Time for more copper

Chris is the lamination behind Lincoln's head
Hi Wheat, no its in the field in front of the face, its not a strong or well defined lamination but you see it in mutiple spots where the toning breaks into a bright red. It shows up better in hand than in this pic.

I really enjoy viewing the wonderful MPL's that you guys have. But I just cannot get the bug to collect them because there is no way I could ever complete the series due to the 1909VDB stopper. Anyway the thread needs some love so here is one I have liked for a long time. Not a real important coin but interesting to me due to the lam error on the obv, sits in an old amall ANACS holder as 66RD. More truly a RB today tho.

Thanks Wheat, and Bob That is a very unusual color on that proof Bob, wild. Here is another you might like.

If you're going to start collecting Seated Dollars, then I highly recommend that you join the Liberty Seated Collectors Club. You can find information about it at.... LSCC Home Page .
You'll see a link on there for the LSCC Message Board. This is the forum where all the Seated experts are.
Good luck.

A recent new addition, PCGS AU53 CAC approved
-
Currently in a SEGS MS65RB holder
-
Fantastic strike on that one Wheat
-
Just got this back from CAC so I need to redo the pic now
-
you surely need to send that one
Well registry points wise its only about a 100 point upgrade so not much upside that way. Now price wise thats a different matter and it would make sense when the time comes to sell. Now this little girl just received her new green bean this week.
