  1. 1837 .. Nice coin Jeff... Speaking of old Mexican coins.. I was once shown a "Hookneck" WOW! It was a sweet coin. For those of you who don't know what that is. It is an 1824 8 Reales with the neck reversed. All the other coins go one way while its the opisite. This is one of the most valuable Mexican coins known to exist. Unfortunately I did not have the money at the time to purchase it or I would have.

    Hey Wilson,I'm not an expert when it comes to discerning all toning types,but this one probably is in an old board album.Correct me if I'm wrong Tom.

     

    As to the *,this was in an old NGC "fat-boy" holder,before they gave coins the * designation.
