    Coin shopping

    Kennedy and Franklin
    Picked up a 64 Kennedy and a 53-D FBL Franklin today paid a little more for bit more for them but oh well makes a nice addition to my collection and it a hobby. the Kennedy has a nice Blue-steel color my 1st toned coin and with today being 50yrs since his death I thought why not and yes I remember were I was. I was home with the Mumps remember those childhood things we use to get. You all have a Happy Thanksgiving. and thanks for looking

    a long wait
    Hello Collectors
    Well back in May I ordered my 2 coin set of W Eagles and this week they arrived safe and sound it a nice addition to last yrs set of San Fran 2 coins. then today I received my 1948 Franklin FBL. so the set is starting to come together. Saturday there is a coin show so I will go take that in just to see what they have and to B.S with other collectors. well thanks for looking.

    where is summer and slow going on coins
    Hello collector
    It been awhile since I have wrote any kind of notes on whats been up I haven't made much progress on my sets I did make a trade with Rick awhile back and I been getting my sets from the mint but I called and cut back on that also Iam only getting the Proof set and the Proof ASA now. But I did order the W 2 coin set for 2013 they said sometime in August which is fine it will go with the 2011 SF 2 coin set I kind of kick myself for not getting the 5 coin set but oh well at the time it was more then I wanted to spend. This summer I am going on my 1st plane trip out to Arizona and California (SD) looking forward to warm weather and vacation. But I will be taking my coin list cause you never know what I might find

    State Quarters

    slowly but surely
    The Month of March I only order 2 coins a 2007 penny for my lincoln set 69 and today I added a 2006 State quarter 2006 silver in PF 70 so now I have 5 70 coins ranging from nickles to silver ASE Iam happy with that and the pts they gave on the 70 silver 25c. Hopely spring will come to MN. and thanks for looking.

    It been cold but warming up to Silver
    Januray is starting off good I was able to pick up a couple of coins. 1 for my Franklin set a 51-D and 2012-W for my ASE set I did pay more for the Eagle then it is worth a bigger differnt then I thought but oh well It a Hobby and I guess I spend a few dollars on what I enjoy doing. like always thanks for looking.

    End of the Year

    Looking Back
    2012 was a gang buster of a year for me on collecting coins, and having my hip replaced which turned out 200% better then before tham\nks for all the kind words on that.and my friends thats better then any coin I got. Now on the coins I sold off my proof ASE and Unc ones and just keep a example for my collection. I bought the San Fran set from a dealer paid a little over but it is a nice set, Bought a few coins from Rick to add to ny Franklin set been getting coins from him now for at least 2 years. He is a staight shooter so if he has something you need ask him. In the New Year I just plan on working on my Sets and if possible find a grades gold coin to center piece my collection well thats on ny wish list anyway, So in closeing I hope 2013 is better then 2012 cause were all in this together,

    Home from Voting

    Got home from voting, and checked the mail box.
    There were long lines at the voting site this morning which surprise me took about a half hour that a lot for a small town up here in Northern MN. Check the mail box and Picked up an addition to the short Mercury set I been working on. an ms 65 got it below FMV which is always sweet. it was in an older holder which was ok. well good luck on your collectons and thanks for lookig.

    Passing it forward
    The other day ne of the . Manger and I were talking and she brought up that her Son has just completed his State Quarter Board, and that he is very excited about coins and she told her son if you have question that I was the go to guy. well Iam far from that but I can help. It made me think about when I started out and how over the last couple yrs I had question that I needed to ask and I have my go to guy at the S.C. so I went though some of my older stuff to get a packet together for the young collector I came up with a partly filled Buffalo nickel book, a few president dollar, a kennedy half(silver)an Ike dollar,a $2.00 Bill and some other Misc coins. You shold have seen his Happy face. the biggest smile, and many thank you. so maybe we added a new Collector. again thanks for looking.

    Bad Storm

    Power Been out,but the Post Office still works
    Well I hope everyone had a great 4th. up here in the Northland we had a very bad storm power was off for 2 days and folks are still out and that happened Monday. But I did get a coin order out before the phones went dead I was able I pick up a 2012 (W) a nice coin to my addidtion Iam slowly creeping up to 90% on my sets. But with a few sets going at the same time it hard to figure out which 1 to get next I been also working on my Franklins I guess it depends on the cash flow on which way to go. Well have fun with your collection.

    Slowly working on my sets
    This week I picked up 2 additions to my sets a franklin 57-D FBL and a 42 Murcury dime. I paid less then FMV even with the shipping cost,so Iam happy with the deal. A couple weeks ago I did pay a little more for that San Fran 2 coin set but oh well I like to set and at the time they were on sale at the mint I just got back to work so I passed until I had some extra walking money.Well Hope you find those coins you been looking for and again thanks for looking......Lane

    Sioux Falls

    I went crazy over coin this weekend!
    Hello collector
    The Wife and I took the Kid over to college on Wed and we took in a few vacation days over in S.D. well one of my stops was this little coin store over in the Mall I was able to pick up coins for most of my collection 3-s pennies, a presidental 1 day of issue dollar in Ms it a lower grade 64 but oh well it worth more then I paid. Pick up a 54 Franklin 64-fbl NGC. worth more then I paid. 1 state quarter for the Grandson.I was dissapointed I couldnt find any slab Eagles that I needed or dimes but I did make a big buy at least for me I bought a 2012 2 coin set of Proof Eagles from San Fran. I almost also bought the 2011 set but I just couldnt pull the trigger that the 1st time I seen those Eagles in person. But like all of us collector say by what you can afford and like but I liked them all but could only afford the San Fran Proofs but hey its really nice and plan on keeping then Raw and in the Box.

    Good week

    Pickup a couple of coins and sold some silver.
    The mail is slow but it does it job today in the mail I got a package from Rick it had 2 coins I needed for my 2 main collection an 2011 W Eagle in Ms 70 now in all my collections I have 6 coin in the 70 grade. I also recieved a 1950-D FBl Franklin in 64 not the highest grade but still a nice coin that wont brake the bank. I also been working on a display box for my coins and Mint sets. I also came across a bunch of silver coins that I have forgotten about or lost intrest in so I sold them for a nice little profit, so with a new injection of cash in hand the hunt begins again.     1st 70 in ASE
    Well my son is back from Afganstain and I got to visit with him and his family of course my grandson was there he brought me home some Afganstain money not sure what I have yet but it ranges from a 10000 to a 10 bill and of course some coins. He told me that there is alot of old US money over there in coins but he thought they might be conterfiet cause he said the pennies were of a large size he wasnt familar with. anyway it was great seeing them. Secondly I picked up 3 coins a Mercury dine with was on a kind of a whim, but that ok then I added to my ASE my 1st 70 grade on that. Then a Franklin coin to add to that.     Hi collector today in the Mail I recieved a 1962-D FBL from Rick a very nice looking coin he even sent me a pic to go along with it so Thanks I also should be getting my Unc set from the mint, anyway they are paid for. I also saw that the coin I do have went up in pts like my Pennies,my Kennedy and Pres.dollars that was a nice suprise. so thanks for those who ask for a correction on there sets it helps a lot of us. So I gained 212 pts. anyway here is a picture taken by Rick on my newest Franklin. Like always thanks for looking.

    Only Mint Coins

    Proofs only Mint coins
    Hello Collectors
    It been slow around here the last couple of weeks. But I been getting my Proofs in the Mail I recieved my Proof Silver Eagle and the yearly Proof set I was really liked the reverse of the Denail National park in Alaska very nice with the mountain sheep. I am still planning to purchase the 2 coin set of Eagles from the mint in June. But untill then I will be keeping my eyes open to add to my Cerified sets, so happy hunting to all and thanks for looking

    Great 2 weeks!

    Picked up a few more
    It been a busy 2 weeks beside getting back to work after the Hip replacement I manage to pick up 8 coins which is a very good week of picking 1st off I got a couple of coins from Rick a Franklin to add to my set,plus a 200 milliume Eagle nice additions. Then I recieved my 2012 proof Eagle from the Mint I sold all the proofs except this one I wanted to keep an example. also in the mail I recieved 5 silver quarters from 2007. and finially a 2011 W 25th anniversary Eagle My Eagle sets is comming along. This AM I called the mint about the 2 coin San Fran. Siler Eagles cause I want to order a set of them. looks as if the mint is going to make enough for the demand, but we will have to see about that. well Thanks Rick and the rest of the Collectors for looking.

    Sunday afternoon Auction
    Well just got back from a Coin Auction up here in Mn there was about 1 hour to view the coins then the bidding started They had a lot of slab coins ranging from Morgans,Walkers,Franklin and 1 Kennedy. plus a ton of raw coins,also a few complets sets such as Ike, Kennedys. well it was a good turn out and the way people were looking at the slab I figure I have a hard time getting bargains.The few morgans that were bought sold for half of FMV ex an 81cc ms65,83cc65 I bidded on a few coins a couple prestige sets 93,97 but they went past my bid we all have a limite I went for 3 coins 2 Franklins and a Kennedy well I got 2 1 Franklin FBL and a 1966 Kennedy MS 66sms Cameo at less then half fmv. had a great time.and meet a couple of very intresting people.

    1st thanks for the kind words about my hip replacement, things are going really well and hope to be back to work the 1st part of April been walking around with just a cane now. This week I manage to pickup 3 coins an 88 ASE from the internet and 2 Bemnys from Rick I also hit a goal of over 10,000 pts which makes my proud of that.I may not get around thet good yet but I can still use the phone and order a coin here and there.     I made it out of Hip Replacement. But I woke up on the operating table. That was a deal let me tell you. anyway I was up and about on Thrusday the day after no pain but very stiff I guess if you imagine cutting a turkey leg at thanksgiving you have an idea. anyway I am home at last and waiting for me was a State Quarter Silver from the great state of Minn. go Gophers!     For Grandson
    Well it been a while since I wrote anything I still been getting coins the 2012 ASE 2 and a couple Franklins and today I recieved 5 State Quarters from 2004 and a storage box. I decided I will give this set to my New Grandson thats now 3 months old it will be a small history lesson and something from his Grampi and Gram. also give him one of thoses complete 25c maps So it something I dont have to rush at and in the end he will have a nice start on the hobby if he has an intrest. On another note Iam off work now and next week I will get my new Hip it been a long and painfull wait. well keep up the good work on your collecting and that you find good deal.     Like Gangbusters

    So far 2012 is stating off like gangbuster
    Hello Collectors
    So far this year I have added 3 ASE, and 4 Franklins pluse some other misc certified coin a total of 10. Today I recieved 2 MS-69 ASE both early Releases in NGC But having a problem on where to put the (S) Eagle not sure what to do? any ideas. right now the 2012 has 2 coins in the same slot I added it to the Collector Manager.
    Well the count down has begun with the upcomming hip replacement I tell you Iam really looking forward to it everyone I spoken too said they wish they should have done it sooner. well I hope all of you get the coins you want this year.

    Got my 1st coins of 2012 today a 86 ASE,2 S-mint state quarters and a 63 Franklin in ms 64 currently that what I been finding and as I fill more spots and a higher grade comes up I will surely pck it up,but so far 64s are afforable so far and still a good looking coin thanks for Looking

    Year ending

    A collector to the very end
    Well Christmas is over so today I spent some time putting my christmas coins in my collecton. I got 8 coins 4 Benny halves and I got ahold of those persky 09 Bicentinnal pennies so at yrs end I have 2 100%sets I know there both short the Nickels and now the pennies but there are both cool sets I even added pictures not the best but hey I figure as long as Iam getiing my Hip replaced I can work on them. So 2011 was a great yr I went to my 1st coin action and keep working on finding coins of all kinds I think I came a long way in just collecting ASE which I haven't given up on just a short rest. Christmas was great seen my daughter and talk to my son over seas. Iam not sure about 2012 I have that hip deal going on and Iam not afraid to tell all my friends out there that Iam in lots of pain.an example take your fist and rub your fist accross your finger knuckles for a couple seconds hurts like... Well
    Keep up the good work to all of you and may 2012 be a great yr for all of us in all we try to do.
