  1. I have a red book from 1985. That was when I was collecting as a kid. I do not have a new one, but I’m sure the info is still good. It is a half dime btw.
  2. Not sure what this is called, but I spotted a very small Silver US coin. It’s is a 5 cent silver piece from 1854. Pretty worn, but really cool!
  3. Had a feeling they would not be particularly rare. I have a base knowledge about US coins and almost zero on foreigns. Looking forward to seeing what else I find. The owner got every single coin from spare change over his lifetime. He’s 66 years old. Pretty sure the coins have been put in that cigar box for the past 50 years.
  4. It is part of a comic book cover that vilifies him, hence the green picked skin and the worm coming out of his ear!
  5. I bought a large collection just this morning. I’ll go through it over the weekend. There was a small bag of foreign coins. I was shocked to see this Nazi coin from 1941. Is this rare?
  6. Looking to trade my comics for your coins! I prefer morgans & any US gold, but what do you have? I have misc Silver & Bronze, mostly Spider-Man, some DC & other Marvels.
  7. My oldest son & I going through 1100 Morgans, pulling the best of each date.
  8. This week I went to one of those Jewelry Exchange places where they buy & sell jewelry, precious metals, bullion & coins. I was only there for literally a minute when an old lady in her 70's walks up to a person behind the counter & hands him a list. I'm about 20 feet away but I hear her say, "I have all these coins I want to get rid of. Here's a list. Call me with your offer. It would be great if you would just take them all!" The guy says, "Well, where are the coins? In your car?" "Oh God no." she exclaims! It would take many car loads to bring them all here. She then walks out. The guy with the list shows it to another guy behind the counter. That guy says to the first, "You know we have to look at these coins before we can make an offer." They both then walk into the back where no doubt the real money-man sits. This all happened within 2 minutes tops. Part of me wanted to follow the lady out & talk with her, but I felt weird doing that. I wish I knew what was on that list! Does this happen often?
  9. Newest edition to the collection... and my oldest coin!
  10. There are plenty of collectors who are interested in coins and comics! No reason not to cross trade if possible!
  11. I wish you collected comic books! Could have been a great trade for both of us!
