I was fortunate enough to have purchased the 2019 enhanced SAE  on opening day. I sent it in sealed mint packaging for the FDOI label and the COA number.
I am now told I cannot get a FDOI label. Why? If there was a 1 per household limit, did dealers send these in bulk to obtain one?
Here is just one listing from a familiar place:
“2019 S SILVER EAGLE REVERSE ENHANCED NGC PF 70 FIRST DAY OF ISSUE 5826281-003 OGP AND COA INCLUDED”
More than 10 available? I rest my case.   QuantityMore than 10 available

The 2013 W SP is a variety coin of the American Silver Eagle. It has no place in an MS set, especially adding it 4 years after being minted. There is a category for the American Silver Eagle varieties. One day I have a 100% complete set, and next day I don't. All those bogus eagles that we had to have ( and paid premium prices for), are not included in the mint state collection, but as varieties. The P and S Eagles belong there too. Ever notice there are no NGC 2017 FDOI S Silver Eagles? Another bogus coin that we have to have? Next year maybe we will get a CC mint mark?

When I first started collecting the $20 Canadian silver coins, I was told NGC would not grade the "snowflake" issues. They contain crystals that may come loose and therefore are not gradable. My how times have changed. Now the "catch phrase seems to be "colored outside the mint" I am out  good deal of time and money for this excuse to grade a coin that is submitted with a COA, and charged for no grading, or encapsulation. Limited numbers are being plated or colorized, and many more to come. Our US coins aren't even struck in the mint they claim to be struck in. If NGC is afraid the enamel will fall off, why are we signing a release when submitted?
I just had 2 more become "ungradable" and have more (8), of the same to be graded. There needs to be a list of coins that NGC will not grade. Now I have 2 collections that are missing completion. At close to $100.00 per coin and $30 each to not grade them, it is ludicrous.
There will be many more (collectors) trying to make sets with high grades, but now we have been halted by "policy."  There needs to be a current list, or a change in the grading procedure. SmartMint is coming fast and then we will see. No one even knows where, or what entity even strike them anymore. Why should NGC care about the colorization on so few specimens?
if they are not colorized at "the" mint. Where are they done? Why do B.H. Mayer and CIT exchange coins? I also have a few other colorized coins that came from "the" mint.
Collectors need a list before we engage in the purchase of coins that are "worthless."

There are no bullion coins minted in San Francisco......period.
They mint them at West Point and fly them to California.
Please remove it. It is as phony as the "minted at" coins we "had" to have and paid a premium for.
NGC pulled the last round of Eagles because it cannot substantiated, by fact, where the coins are minted.
    West Point does bullion.

I am not a collector of Morgans. I have no clue, other than weight and sound, to check authenticity.
I found this coin in a sub floor.
I am hoping it is good, but won't be disappointed if it's a fake.
    Thank you

    Waiting Patiently
With a turn around time (Modern) of 45 days, my submission will arrive next year. Between the Mint taking 2 weeks to ship, the Post Office taking almost 2 weeks to deliver(first class), First and Early releases can be forgotten. I see the times have been shortened by over a week....I'm hopeful.  I'd be happy with the coins, truthfully. Good Luck everyone!

    SACAGAWEA SET
Every time I receive a new addition, I fill out all of the form, including owner comments on the registered coin. Reviewing my #1 set is has slipped to #2. How? I check, and the owner comments have been deleted. For 20 minutes I have tried to edit it and replace the missing comment. I fill in the box, hit save, and absolutely nothing. Anyone have a clue? Maybe it's got a virus?

Now that the rush to obtain the coveted 2019 "S" "Enhanced" Reverse proof Silver Eagle lasted less than 15 minutes to sell out, there should be a new label?
"ONLY DAY OF ISSUE",  xx,xxx of 30,000 should be added to the slab.
Any thoughts?  I will be submitting mine for FDOI,  and the have the number that is assigned added.

I have sent a few colored silver Ghana coins to be graded, with the COA, yet they cannot be graded according to NGC policy.
    See what you think?
    The reply:
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we are not able to grade coins that have been colored or altered in any way after being produced from the mint per our grading policy. The alterations may have an effect on the metal and therefore we cannot guarantee the grade and condition of the coin. Thank you
    I rest my case.

At the deadline for entering coins for the awards, I had the #1 Proof Presidential set in the Registry. No mention of it in the downloads section. I also had the #2 set at the end, for this year, yet that was only close. Someone got an undeserved award, and I still am near the top. Collecting this set was a passion. There was only one top set. I tried.

    2021 EAGLES
In 1986, I started an American Silver Eagle set for my son to inherit someday. I started with the MS set and my first coin was purchased from TV sales. After a few years, I was able to start a proof set, and the collection expanded. I have been fortunate enough to maintain these sets through the years, but not without losing coins due to slot eliminations in the Registry. Everyone had to have the 2000 "Millennium" slab. Now it's history. A few others also. Now sets are being created for reverse proof, FDOI, anniversary, or whatever.
This year we lose the heraldic reverse on the Eagle, yet gain another landing. I understand 1 MS coin for each type. I understand 1PF coin for each type. I can eve stretch and understand a reverse issue for each type.
There are now 6 slots in the Registry, and still no mention of the reverses. The Mint even has "emergency" issues. What emergency? 2009 was a slight emergency. My 2009 proof is missing! Stolen silver shipment. No more silver bullion to San Francisco. All bullion coins are minted at West Point, NY. Why can't we go back to the original 2 yearly issues, or add the RP as a third? 10?
This is becoming a financial endeavor rather than a pleasant hobby. It should be about a few coins, not hands full of money.
I am certain the flack is coming, but it won't be the first time. I enjoy collecting, I enjoy the competition. I like the people I have met here through the years. I just think it may have gotten a bit out of hand.

    HAPPY COLLECTING!

The jury has made it's decision.
First, I'd like to thank the members who were nice enough to serve as jurors in my trial over the toning Eagle chicks.
After all the evidence was presented and documented, I have decided to pass down sentence upon these wonderful slabbed coins.
They are destined to serve the rest of their time in my collection. They will, however, lose their place in the Registry.
I have acquired another pair to replace them, but only to maintain the pristine look of the fresher coins.
I also have broken the set by adding these 2 70's. All my Commemorative halves were to be MS and PF 69.
To those that liked the idea of them toning, I am not going to store them in Intercept Sheild Boxes as all the others. Hopefully they will mature to a fully toned beauty which may become even more desireable.
As long as they are both "perfect", I have no doubts about this investment. I may even learn more about toning.
Thanks again to all who input their opinions.
You can still see the departing pair in my Commemorative Half Dollars until the newbies show up.

When you submit coins for grading, it asks MS or PF. There is no PL, RP, SP SRP space.. If we are to go by the old standards, a PL coin is an MS base. An SP coin seems to be both, MS and PF. Now we have reverse proof(RP), and Special reverse Proof (SRP?) Colorized, antiqued, plated, and a host of types that are emerging in almost every Country, and will be here soon.
I started a set to find out that only 1 coin, out of the 10-15 that I sent to be graded, will have a slot in any collection. I see the Palladium coin has an MS PL variety.....hmmmm?
My Canadian Anniversary proofs will be a nightmare. They already are too late for ER pedigree. So much for Express mail and special handling.
I hope to see a few sets either combined, or actual revised to reflect the actual coins in the set. So far, I am thoroughly confused.

    What does the "W" mean?
I just got a 2000 S Clad Maryland quarter in NGC PF 69 W Ultra Cameo. I have another Maryland in NGC PF 69, but it doesn't have a "W". Is one better than the other? Does the "W" get a higher rating? I am new to all this, but I guess I should kbnow about this? Anyone?
    Thanks

I have added the 2008 "error" Eagle to bring my set up to date
    Finally!
I have completed a set of American Silver Eagles in NGC MS69.
I went out of my way to have 3 2008 Eagles, but I guess it was necessary to be complete. I guess the proof set is next. Maybe I can compete this year?
  16. namvette68
You can only tie mine.....so far
I haven't been here long, but I brought the competetive mood I've always had. I wanted a good set of Sacagaweas, but I got the bug. Yes, I now have the best Sac set in the Registry....bar none! All 10 coins from NGC in PF 70 Ultra Cameo. It's unfortunate I had to make a "Signature" set to make room for them. I also have the most 10 coin sets registered also. I was very fortunate to amass these. I would welcome other collectors to share the top spot. It only takes 1 more coin. I will always be the first to have the complete(10 coin) Registry set!
Paul, I wish you luck breaking into double digit ranking this year. You're in "big bucks" country now!
My goal? Well.... I'll break under the 500 mark, and be tickled to death. I am refreshed that the competitive spirit is alive and doing well in the Registry. You all get my adrenaline running again! For this I thank you.

Double protection Intercept Shield boxes are perfect for 10 coin Sacagawea sets.
I have finally taken all of my, 10 coin, Sacagawea NGC PF 69 sets and put them into their own Intercept Shield double protection storage boxes. These provide the ultimate protection for the ULTIMATE 10 coin set!
  18. namvette68
    Keep it or replace it?
I just received a pair of 2008 Bald Eagle half dollars in NGC grades, MS and PF 70. The proof is already toning. Is this desireable? Should I replace it? Should I protect it from further toning(Intercept Shield), or let it go on toning? I keep all my coins in Intercept Shield boxes to prevent this, but I need at least another opinion. See what you think.

  19. namvette68
What amount of rotation does it take to qualify?
I have a few 2006 Franklin Scientist Commems in mint state. The reverse is not square to the obverse. I would like to know how rotated it has to be to qualify as a mint error? Does anyone have a Franklin with this mint error? I have asked several local dealers and collectors, but no 100% positive answer. The set I have registered has a pretty square obverse in comparison. I attached a scan of the typical rotation. Is it considered an error?

  20. namvette68
    It only took 1 coin.
It only takes one coin to make a complete set. I have added that coin to my Sacagawea 9. I only wish the 477 points would be added to it's score to acknowledge it's totality.
  21. namvette68
AFTER A PERFECT 10, I SETTLED FOR A PAIR OF NINE.
I am so fortunate to have been able to obtain a goal. A little sacrifice paid off. I am proud to add 2 more #1 Sacagawea sets in the Registry. I am thankful to those who helped me acquire these fine coins. Like everyone else, I believe I have the best sets in the Registry. I am thankful to know I have, at least, a few good ones. Thank you all!
  22. namvette68
Do I merit a higher score?
I wanted to have the best of something to pass on. I believe the 10 Sacagawea NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo should be at the top.
I believe them to be better than just a set of 9.
Should a new score of 4681 be in line?
I am close to finishing at least 1 more Sac set in PF 70 UC(only 9)and perhaps another if I can find them.
Well, it's all over for this year, but I will strive to get at least 1 honor in the future. I would like to thank all those that helped me. I would like to thank Amy for pointing out my temporary periods of dislexia. It's a miracle I can type any numbers in the right sequence. Happy Holidays, and Good Luck, to all of you that strive to make the Registry what it is.
P.S. Santa, please bring me the gold 1995W Anniversary set in NGC PF/MS/RPF 69. I'm not greedy!
  23. namvette68
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble.
Well, I went and did it. I started a set of Presidential Dollars in PF 70. I am proud to have another #1 ranked set.
After trying to get some nice photos of the obverse, I opted to leave the reverse scans for now. I am going build a photo booth (miniature) for at least the obverse. I'll see soon if it works. I have a good set to work with. It'll need to be good enough to present it properly. I want to at least get an "Honorable Mention" by someone.
  24. namvette68
I had to settle for only 9 coins.
I recently decided to add a set of PCGS graded Sacagawea golden dollars to my collection. PCGS has only 9 coins to a set. I am in the process of building a PR69DCAM SET. I only need the 2002 and 2007. Unlike NGC with the "First Year Of Issue", green label, pedigree, this set is easier to complete, and a little cheaper.
