  1. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that lots of the coins were determined to be AT'd. I cant recall where I saw it though.
  2. Greetings fellow collectors, I'm looking for a few early Jefferson's in PCGS or NGC holders. Prefer to stay in the PR64 range. Here are the years I am looking for... 1938 1939 Rev of 38 1939 Rev of 40 1940 Rev of 38 1940 Rev of 40 1941 1942 Type1 1942 Type 2
  3. Coin collectors are OCD! What else needs to be said! However, I dont think that is much of an issue for me. I have several mixed TPG sets. I do try to have coins that are untoned or toned equally so that one doesnt stand out too much sitting side by side. However, from an eye appeal standpoint you would want a set that is all comparably graded. Not a set that is all MS with a couple of VG tossed in. Some mixed grades look good together, such as XF-VF are not too far apart that they stand out like a sore thumb. Personally, I think your friend is silly for ignoring a technically nicer coin for only a few bucks more.
  4. Sorry, the above coins are all I have for sale at the moment.
  5. I have a few very nicely toned NGC Canadian coins for sale that Id offer for sale here first. First is a very attractively toned1967 half graded MS63. I think it should have been a 65 because of the reverse and exceptional toning but the obverse is a bit too baggy for a 65, so MS63 it is. Pop in this grade is only 24. Asking price is $50 delivered. Next is a 1967 MS64 graded quarter. It has a beautiful nearly solidly toned midnight blue color on the obverse with a little bit more reddish hue on the reverse. Pop is only 31 at this grade and it is a nice specimen for the toning lovers! Asking price is $45 delivered. Next is a 1967 MS64 graded dollar. Toning is slightly more mottled than the other coins in my offering, but still very attractive and the reverse is MUCH better than the images. The obverse toning slightly resembles a sunset with the fading colors that darken as it goes beneath the bust and the reverse looks like a goose flying after sunset. Only 19 better in the grade! Asking price is $65 delivered. Finally is a 1959 Canada dime. Graded MS65 by NGC. I absolutely love the color of the reverse! Gives the image of ship sailing in the evening waters of Canada in stormy waters! Both sides are well struck and gemmy! Asking price is $45 delivered. Sorry the pics got out of order! I would be happy to combine shipping!
  6. Was planning on building a toned MS set, but have changed my mind. These are exceptional coins for the grade. All have attractive colors with some images attached as a preview! Link to the set is below but individual coins listed here too. Asking prices listed. Send me a PM if you are interested! Trades considers too! 1935 NGC MS64 $50(SOLD) 1936 NGC MS64 $50(SOLD) 1936D NGC MS64 $60(SOLD) 1937 NGC MS64 $ $50(SOLD) 1937D NGC MS66 CAC! $199(SOLD) Toned Mint State Buffalo Nickels
  7. Pre-covid, there was lots of discussion about this. Now I cannot find anything about it. Does anyone else know what is going on with this?
  8. For sale: Set of Roosevelt dimes in a new dansco album. All coins are uncirculated or proof finish. It has all the silver proof coins and the 1996W until the last page where a few coins are missing. Carefully placed in the album using cotton gloves. Listed currently on ebay, but Id rather sell it here to fellow collectors, so reach out and lets make a deal! Its a great set! Roosevelt Dime Set in Dansco Album
  9. There a few big names in US numismatics. Eliasberg is one of them. Recently, I found a coin in another reputable holder that is pedigreed to his collection. While not particularly rare or expensive, I would like to use it for my registry set and keep the pedigree. So, if I submit this coin for crossover that is already designated as having the Eliasberg pedigree, will it keep it?
  10. Hi folks! Lots of top pop quarters up for sale at Great Collections, so if you are building a top tier registry set, dont miss out! Link to my set is below and the links to the top pop coins are also below. Check them out! 1999 MS68 Statehood Quarters 1999 D Pennsylvania MS68 Top Pop 1999 D New Jersey MS68 Top Pop 1999 P Georgia MS68 Top Pop
  11. Thanks! Kinda hard to let go, but its time! Some top pop coins will be listed next week!
  12. Auctions will be going over a couple of weeks with over 60 different coins in the set. First round ends Sunday 10/17. Fill those holes in your sets! Here are a few samples and the set contains both PCGS and NGC! Great Collections State Quarter Registry Set
  13. How about a way to truly verify you own a certain coin? I know several people in the registry that in fact do not own the coins listed in their sets! I know this opens a can of worms but it happens!
  14. Thanks! I had forgotten about the older version of the registry! Funny to look at how certain sets of mine are heavy NGC and others are PCGS weighted!
  15. Is there a way for us participants to easily look to see if we have 75% or greater NGC coins that allows us to be eligible for awards, rather than counting them up and doing the math?
  16. This has been a great thread to read! What a collection to inherit!
  17. Any of them cameo designated? What about colorful toning or are they just blast white?
  18. Greetings fellow collectors, I am looking for the 1964D Washington quarter with the type C reverse. I would prefer one that has already been graded by NGC and I would prefer one that is mint state. If you happen to have one, even one that has been graded by another company or is raw, let me know what you are looking to get for it
  19. I think you have some nice items in the collection. The 3 gold coins especially and have the most value. They do look circulated lightly and may not have much value beyond the price of gold. The Ike dollars and the Susan B. Anthony are worth face, perhaps a bit more on the Ikes(1.30 ea). The Kennedy half dollars are 90% silver but look lightly circulated, so perhaps $9 based on silver value. If you were going to sell them, I would take them to a coin show or a reputable local dealer. If you knew a local collector you trusted, you would possibly get a bit more money for them. Sorry for your loss. FWIW, I would not get any of the coins graded.
  20. Hey fellow collectors! Time to sell a couple of coins. These are better dates from the 50s and 60s. All listed on Great Collections with the links below. 1955 D 1954 D 1963 1964
