An Eisenhower won't even get ya a cup of joe

I went through my coins Monday and sent my last ungraded survival kit off to auction. Indian head pennies, proof sets, silver nickles and my altered surface Morgan Dollars. When I stuffed the box there was one 1976 Ike sitting there in a plastic pouch. Well I don't think the auction house would know what to do with one Ike ungraded so I slipped it in my pocket.

Tuesday I went to the local convenience store for coffee, pulled out the Ike and a quarter. The girl flipped it twice "is this $1.00 or $.50" she replied. I just smiled ,said $1.00 thinking yep she's younger than that coin is. But man ,when that coin was minted it would buy 2 cups of coffee and now it can't even buy one.
