I know this has nothing to do with coins, but then again maybe it does.

In NYC a legislator has submitted a bill that would make it a crime to walk across streets while listening to an iPod.

About the same time I heard this they were also talking about a fellow who, while defending his family from attack, had accidentally killed the assailant (with his bare hands) - and was being charged with MURDER.

In the same report they went on to say that people who take the bus back and forth to work will have to submitt to random searches before they will be allowed to get on a bus to go home the same way they went to work. They went on to say that there was no credible threat, and that this was done on as ?precautionary? measure for our protection. There were no plans to search cars entering and leaving the city, just Bus and Subway riders.

To continue a bit on the subject of NYC, They have ?Street Vendors? that sell everything from Pirated Movies to Knockoff designer items. The cops used to chase these guys off and leave the drug dealers, hookers and homeless people alone, Now they leave the criminal street vendors alone and focus their efforts on the homeless and the hookers.

Golly, what does any of this have to do with coins....???

Well, ebay is starting to look alot like the streets of NYC and their response to being notified of foul play is absurd in its duplicity.

They claim to simply be providing a venue for equals to buy and sell merchandise. They are nothing more than the ?Landlord? of their virtual Fleamarket.

This description has been successfully argued by them in court. Until legislation is passed, or the owners of copyrights ( like NGC and PCGS ) object to their Names being used as Price references by others on ebay the solution is not likely to come from the Corporate Headquarters of Ebay.

To make matters worse, Ebay has activly worked to prevent us from warning unsuspecting buyers.

Fraud is fraud, and sooner or later, ebay will be held accountable for keeping fraudlent sellers on their site after being notified by people like us.
