Venting was my option and NGC had NO PART in it......
Although I stand behind my words I see no reason for any futher contact. Trust is an earned and very objective thing to extend on any level. It is my option alone to decide if I wish to continue a relationship with NGC.
My personal opinion is that NGC is being over run with submisions, hence the extended turn around. NGC is in the service industry and like everyone else I demand service for my hard earned. I did not intend to shake t
Anyone want to jump in?
Although I am a morgan collector, I have about 500 buffalos and I figure after a good inspection "Why bother cleaning?". I have an 1883 morgan that wasn't worth getting slabbed so I cleaned it up put it in a plastic round and I let everyone handle it. A $10.00 coin lets me keep my babys safley put away
Scans 003.
I don't understand that one.
I have a couple on their way back IC but I'll take another look when they get here. But these are raw coins and I don't see the interest in sending a graded coin for regrading unless you thought NGC would up the Pcgs grade. Was it in the Pcgs slab?
If it wasn't "what were you thinking?"
That's a great story......
I like to buy morgans, graded, ungraded, circulated until the rim is gone, cleaned, rim dings and I even have one thats bent.
The fact is that I just love having them, looking at them and showing them to people.
It's a lot of fun to give a cleaned 1889-o to someone who really isn't in to coins. You get to see that spark that got you started into this. I buy silver eagles in holders for the kids around this time of year. Not an expensive gift but one that in so
Coins are coins
I collect for two reasons.
1) I like
2) I think investment
Please keep the reason you do this from hurting your life.
This is the list:
1- NGC is to slow (Who cares?)
2- NGC can't get PCGS prices (who cares?)
3- My images suck. (who cares?)
I spend my money on things that I like. It could be coins, boats, girls or whatever. You send coins to be slabbed then complain that NGC is your problem. My point is take a pill!!!

Back to the island,
Proofs have almost always been a good investment. But like stock, commodities, even property, it's a long term deal.
Always watch what it cost to protect what you invest in and you'll do better than most. I think proofs are a good idea.
