NGC NOT SITTING ON OLD NUMBERS Anybody try NGC's new Score Correction yet? I did and my reaction was Wow! If you've got a good candidate for score upgrading, just go to your score challenged candidate coin, click on the date and get that baby a new pair of shoes. In my case, Scott Schechter raised the score on my Type 1, 1956 Proof 68 Ultra Cameo Franklin over 350%. Of course, the coin deserved the new score but Scott's response took less than 24 hours. Franklin Proof 1956 Type 1

A Proof Franklin 15 coin set is WAY overdue and a no brainer. Two very distinct types of Proof Franklin half dollars were minted in 1956. The old die variety served well from 1950 to about 3 months into 1956. At that point, the mint refined the reverse die to a distinct and easily noticeable fuller detail, especially in the eagle's tail feathers.
