awhile back I posted some images of this coin. I was curious to find out what people might of thought about it. Oh! sure, everybody got on the bag wagon and said "It's a machine doubling." Gosh! Those are amazing pictures. I don't think I've ever noticed anything quite like that kind of strike doubling. Thanks for showing us.

Maybe it's a weird form of die deterioration doubling. Looks like they could have used the die a little longer than they should have.

Those are some really good pictures. I agree with Fivaz, that is a very unusual form of MDD. I really like the R, it's all mangled to pieces.

Die shifted slightly between strikes. It's basicaly a one sided close double strike.
