Can anyone idenify this coin? Its metallic content?

Basically I need to know if this coin is silver. My grandpa gave it to me, I believe. I Think it's a commemorative of kennedy

Have you tried the "Ding" test there stinky. Also try a magnet. It would be very hard to tell by picture. If the coin was identified from it's whereabouts, would be easier too.

It's not a coin and it does not appear to be silver, either.

Did you look at the edge? Some of the private mints put their hallmark and/or composition on the edge.

Nope, not silver. The coin shops around here sometimes hand them out to their younger customers.
