Got some coins today. What do you think?

First up is an 1878-S with a grade of AU I think with a little dip-a-roo it will turn out to be DMPL or at least PL. as for the grade, I dont know maybe a little rub on the cheek. What do you think? Picked it up for $30.00 at the coin shop. By the way what looks like scratches is actually a film on the entire coin.

Second: I bought this one for the color, it's not the most beautiful coin in the world, but for $16.00 what the hey.

This little jewel is so dark I just could not believe my eyes. Although very common in high grade I dont see to many look like this. picked up for $27.00

Last but not least A 37 Buffalo in a PCGS holder MS65, and yes I know very common but I like it, at $60.00 I bought it just about right maybe a couple of $$$$ to much. The reflection of light in the pic is not on the actual coin, this baby is as white as can be on a coin.

Do you think Acetone would be better? I've never dipped before, and I got to tell ya! I'm a little nervous.

pratice dipping with some common silver quarters, or dilaute the dip and pratice like taht and remember warm water and pat dry with a towel

Nice coins Richard. Like the original SLQ. Morgans look nice. Don't think that 78' is going to wind up Pl tho'. Doesn't look like enough cameo in the liberty or eagle.
