Neat die break. I've never seen this one before.

That sucker was just about to fall out it looks like. Note the corresponding strike on the obverse where the intact part of the die was pressing it.

That's a beautiful example and is more a testament of the difficulty in producing and working with die steel in the Americas than it is about workmanship, in my opinion.
