Do all the Minute Man silver proofs have four fingers shown wraped around the rifle? Does anyone have information on this? Scroll down and look at the middle image.

Well, since humans have an opposable thumb I would think that they would all show no more and no less than four fingers as the thumb is on the other side.

 

Looking at the image closely, I can't even tell if it shows three fingers with a thumb on one side or simply four fingers on one side. I don't have one here to inspect up close. What does it show?

I see 4 fingers and no thumb.

In the closeup shot, there does appear to be a thumb on the other(correct) side of the minuteman's four fingers, it is directly across from the bottom button on his coat.
