In case anyone is wondering, this quote comes from an article titled "Pennies From Heaven," published in the July 1937 issue of The Numismatist, p.645.

Scharlack was a tireless promoter of the 1922-D cent and its many varieties. He's the person who popularized No D examples and put this issue on the map.
