FOLLOWUP QUESTION: REAL turnaround times right now for NGC, ANACS & PCGS?

FOLLOWUP QUESTION:

My friend asks if he should join NGC or PCGS in order to get the free submissions that come with certain membership levels, or simply join at the basic level and pay for all submissions outright.

 

I haven't done the math, but it seems to me that joining at the basic level makes the most sense.

 

If it matters, he has about 25 coins to submit, valued between $50 and $250.

Modern is right around the 12 day mark. Not sure about the rest.

 

Modern received on 4/9, received gardes today.

Economy received on 4/9, still show as received.

Modern special received on 4/17, still shows received.

I just posted the following on the darkside forum this morning. FYI, my submission was received last Wednesday (the 18th). The tier was 'world economy'. THAT is why i trust NGC for my world issues (and the accurate grading of course!).

 

 

 

 

I submitted a darkside batch to NGC recently, and they are done already; what a turnaround time! I'm especially pleased with the grades, especially my Shooting Thaler which is my pride-n-joy. I'm at work, and don't have access to all of the pics for this invoice, but here is what i have............(first, the grades)

i have the other pictures on my hard drive at home. I'll post them tonight or tomorrow. Of particular interest is the awesome toning on the older Canadian dollar, and the sweet Swiss Shooting Thaler with the sweet cameo devices.

My latest Economy have been NGC at a little under a month and ANACS at about 6 weeks.

 

Regular at PCGS was close to a month.

 

Based on recent submissions, I've found NGC to be pretty close to their published times, PCGS to take longer, and ANACS to be a little faster.

Why not conduct your own survey and report back to the forum. Send one coin to each of the TPG, same level of service, and let us know. Thanks in advance.
