1880-cc AND 1885-cc - Morgans - These typically Poor Strike ??

Not totally happy with these the 1880 the strike is very weak -

The 1885 though I love the toning - as the CAMEO on the obverse toned gold where the rest is a a basic hazy silver -What you think ??

I like them both. The 80' looks like a nice strike detail on the rev., of course I love Morgans good or bad. I'll own either anyday. I think they look good j. thumbsup2.gif

The 1880 CC is known for cloudy surfaces and many are weak struck. The benefit to the 1880 is their are actually 96,000 less than the red book states as they were melted in 1881 which leaves them below 500K mintage. This is probably a better than average Morgan CC dollar than one would at first think.

1885 CC toning nicely. Nice coins jgrinz.
