Got a great error back from NGC today

just got this guy back in the mail! It's a rare wash quarter die struck on both sides on a split clad layer.These coins are seldom seen... enjoy!

I have seen some pictures of them before.. but never handled one in person.. I bought it out of another dealers "junk" box on a whim and sent it in hoping it was a clad layer strike.

That is very cool. Based upon what it remaining of the reverse image, I think you can narrow down the date range that this coin came from.

yeah I was very surprised to see it in the box and was quick to scoop it up... glad I did
