It’s about as original as you’ll ever find, that thick skin of toning really gives your coin a sweet appealing look. Good strike and only a couple of nicks that I can see also add appeal to your fine pick-up.

 

I’ll go with AU55; I think the wear is pretty light.

Not my series to grade, but that said--that is a really nice coin. I would think it would be in the AU range of grades.

I'd call it AU55 and it's not the famous DDR variety [which is a type I reverse and is rather dramatic]. Whether it's a minor DDR is not my area of expertise to determine.

I left out speculation of a DDR because I simply could not tell if it was machine doubling from the image.

Thanks to TDN and TomB for teaching me a thing or 2 about Trade dollars.

This one has obvious MACHINE doubling, but is not a DDR. This coin has a type II

reverse, and the DDR's are type I - with a berry under the eagle's claw.

All I've seen in CC Trade Dollars has been massively overpriced or messed with, very expensive junk.
