Scanning Coins to Put in Registry Sets?

4 posts in this topic

I have a Flatbed scanner that I have honestly not used much...

I know how to work it, but I never really know what are the best settings for the job and often scan stuff way bigger than I need too...

Would anyone know settings I need to use to Scan NGC and PCGS slabbed Coins to then upload...

Unless your scanner has the option of re-sizing before you upload, you would probably need some type of photo software that will enable you to re-size a picture to different pixel sizes.

I have a Visioneer 8100 flatbed scanner and I simply drop the slab onto the glass, crop the area that I want to scan and tell it to go. I scan my slabs at 300dpi and it can go up to 2400dpi, which is far too much memory to use.
