Does the Good Doctor get lucky sometimes?

5 posts in this topic

This guy is a well known coin doctor. Is he able to get his junk slabbed?

funky

funky too

So while you're there check "seller's other items"

See what I mean? They all look the same!

Check the cert #'s on his slabbed ones:

7002079-001

7002079-002

7002079-008

7001959-001

Obviously this guy is doing his own submitting, not just selling a few random slabs.

What sayeth the board?

The coins look OK to me. The first one seems 100% original. The second one is a tad off, but I've seen MANY like this in slabs, so ALL the services seem to think it is OK.

My guess is that he is mixing up some real slabbed coins with his AT junk to give the impression that you can get his stuff slabbed. A dealer at the Las Vegas show did that. A case full of blatant AT Morgans and right in the middle were two slabbed Morgans with real toning.

I disagree. I think it's his work and I think he submitted them himself. The NGC Morgans look too much like his other stuff and the holders, as Dog97 pointed out, were submitted at the same time (his submission).
