Ankur - those are some very special coins !!

---------------------------------------------------------------

A friend of mine sent me a PM early this morning

saying he located a coin I had been searching for.

There has been an MS 66 bouncing around Teletrade for quite a few weeks - and every time I bid on it - I guess I don't make the reserve; although I keep upping my bid when I see it up again, I keep loosing out on it. That MS 66 is a POP One - POP Top - and the coin I bought is a POP Two in 64 FB - no 65's - and - one 66 FB [ the coin I keep loosing out on...].

So - as you can see, I'm pretty happy about this.

Nice coins. Mike, what does the OMN mean on the roosie?

Bobby - OMM means Over Mint Mark. That is, the S was punched over a D.

There are also the more familiar (and more common) RPM - RePunched MintMark. These would be an S punched over a (slightly shifted) S mintmark.

I stopped by a local shop today and these two slabs piqued my interest.

A lowball 1893 Columbian in a rare early PCGS 2.0 holder. I paid less then melt for this one!

And this PCGS sample slab with a worn out 1911 Liberty nickel in it.

Token number 2 for my CWT set. I am going to collect at least one from every state and then, well...who knows where I'll end up.

Nice V-nickel sample Alan! I had one once about 15 years ago but I think I sold it 6 or 7 years ago, or at least I can't find it anymore, so I'll just assume I sold it! lol
