Dkillett
No pics yet as coin hasn't arrived. I'll probably get a lot of grief over this but I thought it was a pretty good deal. 1998 Matte Proof Kennedy in a SEGS holder for 95 Shipped. Segs graded it Matte Proof PF 69. wygold
It's always nice to see other members newps. So time for me to show off some of my newps. But before I get to the Ike's, I wanted to show off a couple of Roosevelt dimes that I got in change from Taco Bell today. The first dime, 1948-S Silver and a more modern 1990. I knew right away once the clerk handed me my change that one of the coins had that distinctive silver sound. I glanced down and sure enough I saw the silver dime stand out among the rest of the change. I asked for another dollar in dimes hoping to score again. No more silver but I had spotted something out of the ordinary. After I got home I do my ritual of checking my change. That's when I spotted something different with the 1990 dime. At first glance it looked like hell and then looking closer to it, the obverse looked like a part of a skull. Kinda like the 1oz. zombie copper that's floating around on the internet today. The reverse looks normal and once on its side to me it looked like an Oreo cookie. I know it's made of copper-nickel clad but what makes it strange and I'm not sure if there are others like it. You can see that obverse is very thin and the reverse is a little thicker. The copper is sunken and that's what I think makes it look like an Oreo cookie. If anyone can tell me what was the cause of this or if it's normal let me know. Now 2 more Ike's I added to my collection along with 2 presidential dollars. 1971-S Silver Eisenhower $1 "Blue Ike" U.S. Mint Sealed MS 65 1971-D Eisenhower $1 NGC MS 65 2007-S George Washington NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo 2007-S James Madison NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo Edited September 6, 2014 by wygold

Danye West
Got this at the Long Beach Coin Expo from Dennis King. I saw it in a 64 holder, but IMO even for an OGH it's a gem. Also sent in some raw franklins I'm hoping grade 66, post those when they come back.
jpcienkus
My first two St. Gaudens! - 1908 No Motto - 1909-S from The Gilded Age Collection (has some subtle orange/rose toning when viewed at the correct angle.
jpcienkus
The pictures for these two Peace dollars don't reflect the coin in hand. The 1925 toning is very subtle. It's a golden/coppery color. The coin comes from the 57th St. Hoard. It's very nice in hand. The line on the cheek concerned me when bidding, but in hand, it is barely visible. It is not a scratch, but it appears to be a light break in the luster. The 1924 has a few slight ticks in the fields and has great luster. It's clear that I need to send these and other coins in my collection to one of the many excellent coin photographers who participate on this site. jpcienkus
Thanks Matt. I really love the Liberty Head Design on gold pieces. It's a very clean obverse, IMO. You picked out a great looking MS63! I can see why you jumped on that for your collection. Well done.

BTW, I'm now way over budget for 2014. If this was a business, I'd be getting a call from the CFO asking me what the hell I think I'm doing.....
