Thanks for all the kind words for the 59-D one. I have been a Dahlonega enthusiast for a decade. Rarity is a funny thing when collecting a type set of D-mint coins. The type III dollar is tough in any date, but the 59 is the most common with a mintage of about 4900. There are about 110 extant. There are four one year types in the set that are very tough. My goal with the set is not highest grade, but it is all about originality. The 59-D is AU58 and I had the opportunity to buy some higher grade type IIIs but none were "dirty" enough for me. Finding original non-messed with D-mint coins has become an obsession for me.

Both are raw . I think the 29 should go au58 :wishluck:

 

This one should go au53 . Might of gone a bit better if not for some hits on the date and around the bottom edge
