As always, great coins folks!

Just picked this up yesterday for my registry set. I think the only thing holding this one from getting higher than a 50 is a lack of luster. I assume it was dipped sometime in years past. I do like the coin though and I really dig the die rotation.

Nice Seated Lib Quarter Ray (haha, never noticed that two different quarter series both have the same abbreviation - SLQ).

It definitely appears to have been dipped, and I like mine a bit darker, but there is a lot of good detail on that quarter.

Really nice 1804 Spiked Chin Half Cent...have not seen one

for a very long time. Thanks for sharing it.

Thought I had an 1898-P Quarter in AU 58 in my

circulated collection - but - for whatever reason,

I couldn't locate it at the Bank's SDB's. Somewhat

irritating when you misplace something like that.

Then last night - I found another 1898-P - and I just

couldn't pass this up...

EDIT: Saturday - 12/12/09 - 12:10 AM:

Now - don't laugh at me - I feel foolish enough - but it seems I sold this exact same coin when I upgraded the date with a MS 66 [ intended for the 1898 Mint Set ]...when I saw the opening in the series collection, I was puzzled why I didn't have the AU 58 registered in my set.... its because I sold it...

I realized this when I went to register the coin accross the street - and it said the coin was already in my set !!! OMG !!! I am getting forgetful. I remembered the coin somewhat - I knew it was a well toned coin - it was purchased raw from JJ Teaparty - I sent it into ANACS back in 1999 and it came back as a MS 61 - in 2005 or so, I sent it into PCGS and it came back as an AU 58 .

Another mystery solved...Elbesaar had better start writing everything down !!

I found a D/d MM for the 1916 Quarter - and I thought it was a really nicely toned coin and as it turns out - its the highest [ as of this moment ] graded Large D /

over Small D at PCGS. [ MS 64 ]

Great pickups Jaime and Mike. Mike has to be the Barber King.

I'll second that sentiment! Looks like Mike is pulling a Hunt Brothers on Barbers.....MJ
