So my latest acquisition was a lot in the Bowers & Morena Baltimore Auction that had no photos. I bid based on the item description hoping it was true. Here is the item description and my photos. You be the judge.

Lot # 648

Lot of (2) Denver Mint Jefferson Nickels. MS-67 (NGC).

Lot Information

Final Bid $173.00

Description: Both examples exhibit pretty iridescent highlights to satiny surfaces. Included are: 1950-D; and a 1953-D.

EDIT:

I wasn't sure if I had already posted this Half Dollar;

as it turned out, I had. I apologize for the double post !!

I've deleted the images attached to this Post.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just upgraded my Grandfather's Birthyear Proof Set

I picked up this 1889 Half in PCGS PR 65 CAM @ Stack's

Baltimore Sale.

The coin is much - much nicer in hand - and the scratches

seen are on the holder.

The coin will be sent back to PCGS for reholdering and

True View Images.

For those who have never seen Lee's new 1910-S Lincoln in-hand, I can tell you from owning the piece for many years that it is a blazing, fully vibrant and cherry stunner.

Just in from Heritage :

1832 - PCGS AU58 – Thank you Mark Feld for finding this fantastic coin for me .

The photo of the reverse brought out a lot of gold color , in hand it is more silver gray.

1829/27 - PCGS XF 45– Original and dark , tilt the coin and the blue come out. I like the look of this coin

Just in from Heritage # 2 :

1826 - Anacs Au58 – I like this coin and will send it to PCGS for a cross.

1832 – ICG MS 62 – The coin has some great toning to it. I took a chance on this one and will submit it to PCGS for a cross also. The photo exaggerates the colors and luster just a bit . Still it is a nice looking coin in hand .

Dean I will be happy for a cross to the same grade. Pcgs would actually bump a grade on someone else’s slab? :D I am not going to crack these out.

That ANACS 1826 looks to be a solid Au58 and looks pretty much like it did in the Heritage Photo. The ICG 1832 color wise looks totally different then the Heritage photo , they made it look gold !!

If that is the coin I saw at Coin Fest I agree !!

Very nice Halves Mark!!

Of all the coins I received from last weeks auction the 1817 MS 62 would be my favorite followed closely by the 1829/7 and 1832 Au 58 .

I threw out some lowball bids on these tonight in the DLRC auction, and won all of them. :)

I don't normally buy below MS 67 when it comes to Roosevelts, but I couldn't resist the old no-line NGC slabs.

Nice roosies there Bob.The only one I question is the 57'D. Looks like it has a fingerprint on it???

That one and the 47-D were both a case of buying the slab, not the coin. :)
