TomB
I like your 1838 RE half, but your 1897 Barber half looks outstanding!
Elbesaar
vtrockin, Nice halves - and I can't blame you a bit for picking up either coin. The Bustie is just amazing ! The 1897-P was the second to last coin I needed for the current Whitman album. I ended up with a decent looking, IMHO, 97-P in PCGS 40 from a fellow collector, Two_Tone35, aka: UMAKEM, on an eBay auction two months ago. I like your's equally. Nice pick up. My newps are listed on the Barber Thread ... all quarters: 1904-P, 1904-O and 1907-D and they are all in the same PCGS newer holder and graded accurately as well. No CAC stickers - yet - as I feel that most coins already certified have not been sent to CAC for their Green Football Award. These three new quarters have the MFH sticker of approval ! awb
I've had these for I'm not sure how long, and I recently rediscovered them. The "coins" (I'm not sure if they're real or fake) are polished, with a thumb screw mounted on the back of them. I guess they'd go on a belt or something like that? The Kennedy half is offered for size comparison. Here are a few coins I've picked up over the last couple of months.
bsshog40
Nice pickups there Adam. Those others could also make has hat pins or belt decorations.
Revenant
This was a major impulse buy. I saw it with about 2 hours left on the clock and said, "if I can get it for $20 or less I'll take it." Well, I got it after shipping for $19.

physics-fan3.14
I've been in a buying frenzy lately, but this is my latest. 1952 NGC MS-65 FBL toner. Mmmmmm. It looks considerably better in hand than these pictures.
bsshog40
Nice Frankie Physics. Is that line on the face on the slab?
physics-fan3.14
Thanks. No, I was hoping the line would be on the slab when I bought it. Its not nearly as prominent in hand as it is in the picture, though. Just a streak of darker toning. The reverse is really why I bought this one. bsshog40
That's a shame. That's probaly what kept that from 66 and maybe 67.

stgecko
My first Texas commemorative. OMG too funny, I didn't even notice that it was backwards! For a person who considers himself one who pays attention to detail I really missed the boat! Edited January 5, 2009 by stgecko
