kryptonitecomics Posted October 31, 2008 Share Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) It's been 3 days since I got a new coin in the mail and man was it rough and look and the polish lines all over the reverse.....coming out of the eagles mouth etc. There is a dash uner the second 8 in the date which is listed as a Vam 3 from what I can see in the book.... and of course I got this a few days ago.... It has the clashed "n" and the diagonal gouge in the left wing (viewer's right) is a good diagnostic. There was something special about mint sets in those years, such that coins from them are spectacularly toned far more than average. This is to by no means imply that wonderful rainbows on these years are common by any stretch of the imagination, they are just less rare than other years. Joe's Frankie is still spectacular even for these great years. Below are a trio of well matched blue toned coins from 1958 that I just purchased tonight from Shane.
