Elbesaar
I was tracking an 1892-O Barber Half Dollar on eBay for about a week in PCGS VF 25; a perfect coin to crack out for the Whitman album. I threw in a bid - got bumped - threw in another bid - got bumped again. This went on for four bids - and I dropped out - seconds later the coin closed at $845.00. Far beyond my highest bid. I was scratching my head about this considering I had a really nice PCGS VF 35 which I sold to a collector friend a couple of months ago for $775. Anyway, I decided to check to see what new coins were being listed and I came accross this one. [ image below ]. I only paid $55.00 more for this AU 50 than the VF 25 sold for. I just couldn't help myself... I've been cracking out alot of halves for the Whitman, but I don't think this particular coin will get "the axe".
