SkyMan
Very cool so called dollar, Carl! First time I've seen one of those. Ant, nice looking '02 Horse. Mike, that's an attractive IHC. Boiler, WOW!!! Elbesaar
Thanks for posting my 1898 IHC, Bobby. Thanks also to Tom, Irvin, Harvey and SkyMan for the "Kudos". I really liked the look of that coin...and wished it could have been a point higher or have the RD initials instead of RB... but, it is the nicest example I have seen offered in a few years. { ...also, don't know if I really wanted to pay MS 65 RD prices...} --------------------------------------- I think I have found a new series to collect...that J339 is outrageous !!! I'll have to browse thru my newest Judd Book and see what the other Pattern Liberty Seated Halves look like. I guess its time to move off of the Barber Halves...but: they're so addicting !! I only have a couple of Seated Halves...maybe I'll pick up a few Type coins. Anyone know of a nice AU 55-58 example of the 1839 No Drapery ? NGC-PCGS-ICG preferred. I normally would have added ANACS...but has anyone, aside from myself, noticed a weakening in their grading ? Alot of AU 58's are no better than anyone else AU 53's. I think it started almost immediately after they converted to their new holders last year. [ I actually like 90% of the design of ANACS's new holder ; ie : the top beveled top edge showing the coin information. However, the Certification Number buried on the Reverse side of the holder is really lame. ]

MikeKing
Here's one I've had in mind for years, and finally came accross a specimen that looked worthwhile to actually buy. Thanks Doug Winter (I had to use his photo because I don't have it yet). edited to add: I'll post a writeup on it as soon as my hand recuperates so I can do the typing and I get some reading done as well. WoodenJefferson
robec, that's like going from a older Motel6 to a brand new Double Tree! I still like them both...do not get rid of the honest wear Jefferson though, those old coins have character to them.

I certainly won't get rid of the worn jefferson - I love its appearance. I just wanted to have a higher grade in my type set.
