No Grade Comment: METAL?

This date and denomination was coined in either copper-nickel or aluminum. In reviewing the listing of coins graded by NGC that are not appearing in our census for one reason or another, I came across this entry that lacked the metallic distinction. I gave it a neutral "no grade" designation with the comment of "Metal?" This means that it was a pending entry until the correct composition could be determined.

From the photo you supplied, it appears to be aluminum, so now we can fix the problem. This coin will appear in next week's census. If you want to have the label updated, send it to NGC for correction as a "Mechanical Error." There's no charge for this service, other than the return shipping. If you bring it to us at a major show, we can get it fixed onsite and returned to you without shipping. Just bring it to us early in the show, since we stop slabbing onsite after Friday.
