gmarguli
Why aren't the Norse medals included in the commemorative registry sets? For a complete silver set the thick and thin Norse medals are frequently considered to be part of it. The gold should also be included in the proof gold set (when you decided to make one). Member: Seasoned Veteran DWLange Posted October 2, 2002 Member: Seasoned Veteran Share Posted October 2, 2002 These were included in the commemorative type sets as non-competitive entries, but they've now been added to the complete commemorative sets. This was just an oversight.
braddick
I guess the distinction is a Commemorative may be spent, if you will, for 50cents, now and back then. In fact, many were. The Norse Metals are exactly that- Metals, with no "coin" value. It good to see NGC now allows them in the full set but I can understand the reasoning for not doing so too.
