Ok, this nickel my observations are as follows

Obverse - weakened lettering all around

Reverse - Weakened lettering E PLURIBUS and INTED STATES the other words are pretty clear and strong.

Is this just a case of worn dies? Is there also something going on left side windows or just wear and tear on the coin?

I think you have a nickel that has a combination of slightly grease filled dies  that affected some of the lettering along with some circulation wear. MONTICELLO and the head and bust of Jefferson look to be fully struck but the grease would explain the weakness of the lettering and the anomalies in the Monticello building on the reverse. This is not enough of a grease strike to be considered a mint error and is seen more as poor quality control at the Mint. Additionally, it adds no premium to this nickel.
