It also, has some half missing devices on the reverse. Not worth a whole lot of money but a cool coin to find. And like Roger, I am a strict constructionist when it comes to some things. If the Framers of the Constitution felt putting the word QUARTER without the DOLLAR were sufficient, they would have indicated as much. But they did not. So what you have is a quarter. Nothing more, nothing less. Is it a rarely seen oddity or curiosity? YES, INDUBITABLY! I would love to see this in a slab but the cost would be prohibitive and some armchair wisenheimer with a stickler for propriety would object. What I really love about this coin is the professionalism you displayed over the course of a year ensuring no trace of tell-tale rubbing was left where the numeral once was.
