DDO 1955 s penny. Is there a variety like this one?

     Please try to post cropped (meaning without the surface surrounding the coin), upright photos of each side of the coin as well as pertinent closeups.  

    The photos aren't very clear, but this doesn't appear to be a doubled die. The raised areas near and on top of the date are most likely blobby die chips of the sort that are very common on coins of this era. Compare "BIE" or "LIBIERTY" Lincoln Cents - US, World, and Ancient Coins - NGC Coin Collectors Chat Boards.

    There are no significant doubled die varieties known for 1955-S cents, such as those listed on NGC VarietyPlus, and the only (minor) variety listed on doubleddie.com and varietyvista.com is one with doubling on Lincoln's eyelid. A variety with significant doubling on the date would likely have been discovered decades ago.
