1984 quarter d over p 1 1

Has anyone heard of a 1984 quarter with a d over p mint mark? I was going through change and found this one. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Welcome, I have not heard of a 1984 RPM or a OMM it looks more like a worn out die. It is always better to show the whole coin obverse and reverse first then the detail you want to show.

Not an OMM, die deterioration or damage from a hit, could be a combination of both.

   This is not an overmintmark. It is most likely post-mint damage, from a hit or scrape on the mintmark. It might be helpful if we could see clear, cropped images of each side of the coin.

This looks to me like a worn quarter with a normal D mintmark that is worn appearing thicker than normal but also took a good hit on the left side. If you could provide clear, cropped photos of both sides of the coin it would help to show if this assessment is correct.
