To take a break from collating over 7,000 nickels, I cracked a few (bank) rolls of nickels and got this super shiny nickel.  I scanned it and photographed it straight and angled.

Shiny. . . pretty!  OK, so a few knicks and spots but nothing egregious. . .

. . . ok, many more knicks and blotches.  Where did my pretty coin go?

. . . WTF ?!?!?

Everybody loves shiny objects. . . E-bay all the way!

I have also found that my phone camera picks up nicks and scratches that do not show up with a loupe.
