Sandon Posted December 21, 2023 Share Posted December 21, 2023 This 1937-D (common date) Buffalo nickel appears to have uncirculated details but has obverse discoloration or staining that might preclude a numerical grade. If it received a "straight" grade, it would likely be MS 60 or so and worth about $20 retail. The NGC "Economy" tier grading fee alone would be $23. powermad5000 Posted December 21, 2023 Share Posted December 21, 2023 This coin seems to be decently struck although not a deep full strike (imho), and I also see at least on the obverse some detrimental condition typically commonly described by TPG's as environmental damage. It appears there is some pitting on the obverse especially on the head of the Indian. I think this coin would be one to put into a album.
