ForgeryNetwork now contains the entire collection of counterfeit coins published in the book, "Anglo Saxon Counterfeits" by Tony Abramson, with his permission.
This is a very important collection, as most of these coins were authenticated by the British Museum in London, arguably the highest authority of British coins world-wide, along with other prestigious 'authorities' including Baldwin's ('Black Museum'), Lawrence and Spink - collated by their reference numbers.

The collection contains thousands of coins, that have been submitted to these authorities for authentication over a period of more than one hundred years.  The author and collator of the publication, Tony Abramson, is a highly regarded scholar, author and collector on this subject matter and has published several books particularly on Anglo-Saxon coinage. Along with viewing the images and their related contents on ForgeryNetwork, we would encourage obtaining the book, if you are a Collector of Anglo-Saxon coins. Although we understand few copies remain, Spink may still have some.

We already have over 3000 counterfeits from the IBSCC Bulletin of Counterfeits in the database, this bringing the number of published counterfeits, that is formally published by recognised authorities or institutions, to well over 5000 entries in the database.    We endeavour to bring more published material to the site and we can only do this with your continued support.  We encourage you to use our resource whenever considering a purchase or bidding on coins, to confirm the authenticity of each item.   

Please share this announcement widely, particularly amongst groups of medieval and Anglo-Saxon enthusiasts, as this is a valuable resource to them and all collectors alike.
