Ezwolf
Greetings, I can't tell if this is an RDV - 006 or 007. I am stumped by the g in the initials Fg. it has the characteristics of a 1989 reverse but the vertical line in the g that's supposed to extend past the bottom of the g is not the horizontal line of the g looks good. somebody help me understand this. thank you very much. The last two pictures are different angles with different light

EagleRJO
That's a normal Rev 88 for your 1988 1C. There is a more detailed description here ... https://www.error-ref.com/transitional-reverse-1988-1c-with-reverse-of-1989/ Edited December 5, 2023 by EagleRJO powermad5000
Just Bob
According to Variety Vista, RDV-007 was not introduced until 1992. RDV-005 is the normal reverse for 1988. RDV-006 is the "transitional" reverse. powermad5000

Yea, a few hundred for lower uncirculated grades so of course the YT hacks are hawking this one too in their simple to get rich quick from pocket change . Probably included in Lincoln cent roll hunting sorting mats if you use those. I use mats for other coins like quarters I roll hunt as a quick reminder of coins to keep an eye out for before going through rolls.
