I’ve now come across a 1924 ½ Dollar Huguenot-Walloon Tercentenary coin… it says on all 143,000 were minted. This one appears to be on nice condition…. is this worth getting graded ? or just trying to sell? the plastic is dirty, not the coin.

This commemorative half dollar has Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated details but may have been "cleaned", which would reduce its value and result in an undesirable "details" grade from a grading service. Assuming that it has not been "cleaned", it has a retail list value of approximately $90-$110, which isn't worth having third-party graded. Most serious collectors want these in uncirculated grades, so most dealers would regard it as a hard to sell item and likely only pay half or so the retail value, less than that if they decide it has been "cleaned".
