Just as the title says I wanted to reach out and see if there's any fellow shilling collectors here.

I collect GV Shillings, Irish Shillings 1928-1968, and Shillings by Monarch.

Here's my shillings by monarch!

I'm always looking for upgrades for the set and I am still missing a few. Would love to expand to cromwell, commonwealth, and a testoon sometime but I can only stretch my budget so far. Anyway would love to see what others here have to share.

I knew I recognized you. I sold you the 1933 Irish Shilling in NGC MS66. I have the similar set on PCGS forums.

Europe, Irish Shilling Date Set, Circulation Strikes (1928-1968) All Time Set: Clio's Cabinet - Irish Shillings (pcgs.com)

You seem to be doing well to outpace me in that set. I wish I could manage a 1930 in 65.... whew. And your Irish republic set is well beyond mine as well. I cannot find upgrades for my 1939, 1940 and 1941 for the life of me and you've super gems straight through. Would love to see photos sometime if you have any.

...yep thats me...thank u...ive been working on those sets for 45 years now, most r the number one sets n eventually all will be if i live long enuf...im down to bout 4-5 coins to accomplish that for all denominations both free state n republic...all of the sets r complete minus the '43 florin, i have just not crossed over a few pcgs coins to ngc yet...photographing the entire series would take me forever...certification was an almost 5 figure endeavor...but the journey so far has been worth it, even the duplicate set has been both challenging n fun....stay the course....

Did you buy my irish 1928 Shilling in PCGS MS65+ ? I was curious what happened to it. I remember the buyer expressing interest to cross it.

Fantastic pieces, well done. :golfclap:

I only have one lowly shilling. Nothing near as nice as the ones in the OP but here you go.

I'm working on Free state and Republic type sets, as well as a halfpenny sets but it'll be a slow go with those, 45 years sounds about right at my current pace.

If what you say is true--and I have no reason to doubt you, I owe you a public apology for denouncing you as a refiner of coins and melter of various metals and not a hobbyist or collector if not an accomplished certified numismatist.

I am prohibited by Law (and possibly the Board Gudelines) as referring to you as the Great Zadok but you honored me by paying me the ultimate compliment regarding my Set Registry and my setiments remain the same.

I don't expect to see your compilation, still in progress, displayed on this or any other site in keeping with your privacy policy but am gratified to know your lifelong attempt to complete a collection was a herculean task assumed by no one better qualified and equipped to do so. All the best!

I am also a shilling guy. I collect them by Spink number.

I would guess you have far more shillings than I!  You're located in Alabama? I live near Huntsville.

I used to! I assembled a collection by monarch, as you did. I have since sold that collection and moved in a different direction.

This was one of my favorites:

That's a lovely example! Y'all might not believe me but I bought an Elizabeth I in the Hong Kong auction last night haha.
