Someone could have cleaned it before you got it back in change. May have come out of someones dirty cup holder in their car or anything. Hard to say. Good luck on it. I really hope you have a winner. That would be a cool find.

Looks like a copper plated zincoin to me. Check the weight to two decimal points.

I see some zinc dust bubbles and the start of spilt plating.

Sorry to rain on your parade but my bet is on a Zinc coin as well, as @Greenstang noted you can see plating bubbles especially on the rev.
