JKN58
I came across this 1919-s Lincoln penny and it appears to be a DDO rather than MD. Variety Vista doesn’t list a DDO so I’d be amazed to find something new! Other than the date being really doubled, there is a distinct line at the back of Lincoln’s head at the collar that appears doubled. There is also slight doubling of the “LI” in liberty. Thoughts? Thanks, JKN
JKK
I'd say classic MD, going by obverse-only photos.
EagleRJO
The attached may help in evaluating the coin in hand with what appears to be MD.
RWB
Considerable wobble during the strike. Mechanical doubling. Find a copy of From Mine to Mint -- it will tell you how these things happen. Edited October 28, 2022 by RWB
JKN58
Thanks to all for feedback. Still an extreme example of MD and a cool coin for a 2x2. EagleRJO
Coinbuf
Looks like MD to me also.
