I'm thinking of sending this in, but the silver is very toned. Would it be worth asking NGC for conservation? Or can nothing be done to make the coin brighter? What grade do you think it would get?

I'd just send it in and let NGC decide if it needs conservation, I wouldn't have this coin touched unless there was something really wrong going on. Which I'm not seeing. Could something be done to brighten the coin, Yes, but I wouldn't.

I'm not sure it will straight grade, I'm thinking VF Details.

There is an  X scratched across the Eagle.  I can't say for certain, but It might be large enough to knock it into a details holder.  Otherwise, I think it's a cool coin
